We have followed the journey of the Residential School Survivors in Canada for the past several years. Now it is time for the Aboriginal adults who endured similar circumstances in foster and adoptive homes to speak out, to bond, to build a collective voice and seek redress for the loss of family, loss of community, loss of language and loss of culture. We hope that this blog will encourage Residential School Survivors to add their support.

Thank you for finding your way to this blog site. The intent of the site is to capture stories of Canadian Aboriginal individuals who were apprehended during the 1950s, 1960s and 1970s and either placed in foster care or adopted. We would also like to hear from those individuals, usually family members, who were affected by these apprehensions. Feel free to upload pictures. Check back to see if you recognize anyone. Let’s see if we can find those who were sent outside our borders.
